Bible Reading: LUKE 11:33-36
Special Verse: Romans 12:“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
TThe Bible reveals to us that our eye is a major influence on our lives. It is through our eyes that we flood our lives with either darkness or light. The question is what are you letting into your eyes? Look at it this way, the word of God represents the light while other things bring darkness. If we will take this truth seriously, we will pay closer attention to what we expose ourselves to. Every heaviness, depression and hopelessness comes from an exposure tothe wrong information.
However, if you will stick your eyes constantly in the perfect law that brings liberty, darkness will run from you. Jesus warned us to be careful that the light that is in us isn't darkness. It is our responsibility to be aware of what light you let into you. It could be the light of the media, that is constantly feeding you with information to shape your values. Any information that you receive which instills fear or anxiety in you is not from God and you must learn to stay away from it. I have made up my mind to grow in faith not in fear.
