BIBLE READING : GENESIS 11:1-7
Special Verse: Matthew 18:19
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
An important lesson from Genesis 11 is the importance of having unity of purpose. Regardless of what your handicaps may be, if you can be in unity as a couple, family, church or team, you can achieve the impossible. To find out if you're united, it is important to listen to what each person is saying. You must speak the same language. To speak the same language, you all must see the same vision and agree to see it come to pass.
Consider that during the time of Nimrod who was the first world leader, there were no cranes or modern technology used for constructing sky scrappers, yet he was able to paint a picture of the impossible in the hearts of his followers. It took God to come down from heaven and change their language, which resulted in a communication breakdown and hence confusion. Confusion brought an end to their vision.
Today, make up your mind to work for unity of purpose in your situation. Remember that you are limited by your lack of vision and unity. God desires to do the "impossible" through us if we can see it , agree with the people involved and build together. NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE THE PEOPLE IS ONE.
