Bible Reading: Genesis 39:1-end

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
God is a master planner who knows us more than we know ourselves. As a result, he allows us to stay in circumstances longer than we’d like because he is preparing us to be ready to take up certain responsibilities. Unfortunately, we tend to look to people for help and to open doors for us which God knows we aren’t yet ready for. Just like Joseph, God wants you to be completely dependent on him. Afte Joseph did the butler a favor by interpreting his dream, heb asked him to remember him to Pharaoh. God didn't want that so he caused the butler to forget Joseph.
However, when the time for Joseph’s promotion came, God caused the butler to remember him and that was two years later. One thing we can learn from this story is that we shouldn’t try to run ahead of God. God will do what he promised when he knows you are ready. Had the butler remembered Joseph two years prior, Joseph will never have become the prime minister of Egypt. Trust that God knows what he’s doing and stay faithful.
