Bible Reading: Matthew 6: 25 - 34
Special Verse: 1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
If we learn to stay calm in the face of challenges, we create space for God to help us figure things out.
I had a simple yet powerful experience today that reminded me of this truth. I rushed out to work in the morning and forgot to bring my phone charger. Since my train ticket was on my phone, this became a real concern later in the day. At work, I tried to find someone with an iPhone charger but had no luck. By the time I left for the station, my phone was at 30% battery.
Just as I arrived at the station, I checked my phone—it was at 25%. Within two minutes, it suddenly died, right before I could board my train. I started to panic, knowing that if the conductor asked for my ticket and I couldn’t pull it up, I’d have to pay nearly double the cost of a regular fare. But instead of stressing, I calmed myself and asked God to help me.
The first part of my trip went smoothly, but I knew that when I switched trains at Jamaica Station, tickets would be checked. I simply told God, "Please figure this out for me." And guess what happened? As I entered the second train, I saw a woman sitting near the entrance with a red iPhone charger. Before I could even finish asking if I could use it, she handed it to me, allowing me to power my phone back up just in time. I didn’t have to buy a new ticket!
This moment reminded me of how much God cares about even the smallest details of our lives. How did I end up in the exact place where my solution was waiting? Because God had my back.
So whatever you're facing today—big or small—relax. God sees you, and what matters to you matters to Him.
