Reflection
Do you know that you can be a child of God and not experience the abundant life Jesus sacrificed His life for you to have? It boils down to the path you are walking on. To understand what path you have been on, consider the outcome of your life.
Is your life exhibiting God's prosperity in every area: spirit, soul, body, and materially? God's greatest desire is that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 2). In Psalm 1, you see that a blessed life is a result of the path you are walking on.
So look honestly at your path. Are you on the same path as the ungodly? Are your closest associates people who don't fear God? Are your opinions and values shaped by the world or by God's Word? Do you mentally preoccupy your thoughts with God's Word?
God's Word must be your delight for you to walk in His path. When you choose delighting and meditating on God's Word over the world, you give God permission to plant you in the place of prosperity. Just like a seed doesn't choose where it is planted or its ability to bear much fruit, you also automatically become a fruitful tree, as described in Psalm 1, once you choose the path of delighting in God's Word and meditating in His law day and night.
This is what I would call effortless prosperity.

What would it look like this week to delight in and meditate on God's Word day and night?
Prayer
Father, thank You for sending Jesus so that I could have an abundant life. Today I choose Your path. Help me to walk away from the counsel of the ungodly and to guard the voices I allow to shape me. Let Your Word be my delight, and let my thoughts be filled with it day and night. Plant me in the place of prosperity, and make me like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in my season. May my soul prosper, and may my spirit, body, and provision prosper with it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
