BIBLE READING:MARK 4:23-28
Special Verse: Mark 4:24
And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
It's crucial to pay attention to the instructions Jesus gives us in the Gospels. One important instruction is found in Mark 4:24, where Jesus tells us to carefully consider what we hear. Though it seems like a simple command, many people often overlook its significance. Jesus goes on to compare what we hear to a farmer planting seeds. The farmer goes about his daily life, and eventually, a harvest appears. At that point, the farmer puts in the sickle and gathers the harvest.
What we listen to shapes our thoughts, which in turn influence what we say and ultimately the results we see in our lives. Many people try to change their life’s outcome without addressing the root cause: what they’re hearing. As a believer in Christ, if you continue consuming the same media, conversations, and music as the rest of the world, it shouldn’t be surprising if your life mirrors that of a non-believer. If you want to see more of God’s power in your life, you need to tune into His voice. Deliberately fill your mind with faith-building content. This will detox the negative influences and replace them with positive ones. Like the farmer, though the transformation may take time, at the right moment, you’ll reap a bountiful harvest.
