As I read through the Old Testament, I am amazed at how God meticulously recorded the gifts, offerings, and tithes brought to the temple and tabernacle. He instructed Moses to document them for us to read, showing how much these acts mattered to Him.
What also stands out is the boldness and generosity with which the people gave. They didn’t treat offerings as a token gesture or a “tip” to God for services rendered. They recognized that all they possessed came from Him and gave openly, declaring their trust in His provision.
This leads me to ask: if your offering were made publicly, with everyone seeing what you gave, how would you feel? More importantly, how would you give?
Remember, giving is an act of faith. It’s a declaration that you trust God as your provider and that your heart belongs to Him. What you bring to God reflects the state of your heart.
