BIBIBLE READING:PROVERBS 4:20-27
Special Verse: Psalm 101:3-4
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; It shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
Yesterday, I wrote about the power of the media to shape our mindset and I will continue in that line today. This is because it’s an issue that can't be over flogged. I refuse to let the world shape my mindset about the importance of the word of God. In the old testament, God commanded the Israelites to keep the word within viewing distance. They were to have constant reminders of his commands. In Proverbs 4:21, the same thing is repeated. If we take this literally, then changing what we entertain ourselves with will not be a problem. The truth is - Garbage in garbage out. Word in word out. Remember you reap what you sow and you reap more than what you sow.
One reason why it is difficult for children of God to receive all God has for them is because of all the unbelief being piped into our homes and lives. We all live in dangerous times and the sooner we wake up to the strategy of slow death being used against us by Satan, the better for all of us. Although God's word is powerful and eternal, it can only work for people who are completely committed to believing in it by faith. Human beings fail but his word doesn't.
