You Can Call In the Harvest

You Can Call In the Harvest

BIBLE READING :MARK 11:19-25
Special Verse: Genesis 8:22

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Many believers struggle with the concept of receiving a harvest from their giving. However, it's important to understand that expecting a harvest isn’t wrong. In fact, if you keep giving without reaping a return, you may eventually feel frustrated and discouraged. You might even stop giving because your resources have run dry. I used to wonder why God didn’t just make the harvest appear in my life. The reality is that, just like a farmer who plants crops, we must also actively go out and harvest them when they’re ready. As Mark 4:29 says, "But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come."

So, the question is: "How do I harvest?" Like everything else in the Word, we receive by faith and through our words. We discern the time of harvest by being sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and we call it in by confessing the Word of God. The Holy Spirit helps us identify our harvest, and we use scripture to declare it over our lives. By continuously speaking and believing in our prosperity, we will eventually reap. This can manifest through business opportunities, unexpected financial blessings, new job offers, or wise financial decisions, just to name a few.

A farmer doesn’t passively wait for his crops to walk into his barn—he goes out and brings them in. Similarly, we must keep receiving in order to keep giving. If you’ve planted seed, there will be a time of harvest. So, keep speaking and believing, and your harvest will come to fruition.
