Bible Reading: Ephesians 6:10-20
Memory verse: Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
The devil’s attacks should really not surprise us. We are told to put on the whole armor of God not part of it. No one goes on a vacation wearing a literal armor. It should be clear that it is soldiers in a war situation that need to wear armors. Each morning we wake; we must remember that something negative may come against us. This might be in form of a news or an incident. Life always happens but a warrior’s mindset is what helps us win the battle. There is no need to cry and ask, “Why is God allowing this to happen to me?” The truth is that God is not bringing evil to you. God knows that you are built to deal with any trouble that knocks at your door.
He lives in you! Our strength for VERY DIFFICULT TIMES can only be found in the WORD OF GOD. No challenge or tragedy can resist it. The whole armor of God is simply made up of the Word in your heart, head and mouth. In fact, your letting it consume every inch of your being. I encourage you to go out today with a mindset of a conqueror. “We are more than conquerors through him that loved us and gave his life for us.”
