You Can Have Fellowship With God.

You Can Have Fellowship With God.

Here’s a rephrased version of your devotional with a memory verse

Bible Reading: Genesis 15:1-15

Memory Verse: Genesis 15:1 (NIV)

“After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.’

As believers and Abraham's spiritual descendants through faith, there is so much we can learn from his life. One of the most remarkable aspects of Abraham’s journey was his constant communication with God. Throughout Genesis, we see the word of the Lord coming to him repeatedly—in visions, dreams, through God’s voice, and even personal visitations. No matter how Abraham heard from God, the key takeaway is that he *did* hear from God, and he consistently responded, engaging in an ongoing conversation with the Almighty. What a beautiful way to commune with such an awesome God!

God’s promises to Abraham wouldn’t have been fulfilled without this intimate relationship. When Abraham stumbled, it was usually when he wasn’t consulting with his friend—God.

Brothers and sisters, this is the type of relationship we should aim for in our walk with God: constant communication, where we speak to Him and allow Him to speak back to us. At the end of Genesis 14, Abraham made a vow to trust God completely as his provider—not relying on a job, family, government, friends, or banks. In Genesis 15, God reassured him not to fear, for He is his "exceeding great reward."

Whenever fear comes knocking at your door, take time to listen for God’s voice, and He will speak. Share your concerns with Him, and be still to hear His answer. What a sweet fellowship we can have with our God.
