Bible reading: Exodus 33: 1-11
Memory verse: Exodus 33: 11, “So the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses re turned to the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.”
I t is easy to assume that some people are specially chosen by God to do great things but that is not true. 2 Peter 1:9 tells us differently. It clearly states that every child of God is specially chosen, born into royalty to manifest God’s glory through their lives. However, like Moses we must draw near to God and value our own “tents of meeting” by making fellowship with our Father a priority.
When we draw near to him to seek his face, he never misses an appointment. Unfortunately, it seems only Moses and young Joshua saw the importance of the tent and used it. The rest of Israel appeared to have kept their distance. This was why out of the twelve spies who went to Canaan, only two came back with a good report. Our report about a challenge boil down to a mindset, our mindset is in turn dependent on if we regularly spend time with our heavenly Father. Seeking his face reveals him to us and when we know him, we will know who we are in him.
