Bible Reading: Psalm 139
Memory verse: 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you Day declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
The coolest way you can see yourself is how God sees you. It was a wow!!!! as I kept thinking about what it means to be Almighty God’s special possession. With all he created, he calls me his special possession. He also calls us a royal priesthood. Under the Old Covenant made with Israel you were either royalty or in the priesthood. No one could be both at the same time. Yet because of Jesus, we are kings and priests on to our God. All this has been bestowed on us. What an unfathomable privilege.
Imagine how someone would protect and treat their most expensive diamond necklace. We are worth more than that to Jehovah. As a result, he has done everything to protect and fight our cause. Glory to his name. He has our back.
