Memory verse: Romans 6:17, “But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, yet you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered . 18 Being then made free from sin and have become servants of righteousness.”
I t is impossible to transform your life by your own efforts. If it was possible, Jesus wouldn’t have come to give his life for us. Man’s only hope is in the effortless change that results from exposure to the Word. For us to live a life free from the bondage of sin, we must expose ourselves continuously to the right teachings which will change our mindset and claim our allegiance. It follows that if I learn about righteousness and the power of grace that set us free, righteousness and grace will claim my allegiance this will result in my becoming a slave to both of them. Put yourself under the right teaching in the word and in the church. Watch mental strongholds be broken off you. The result is your life will blossom.
