Your Thoughts Control Your Talk

Your Thoughts Control Your Talk

Bible Reading: Romans 1: 18-23

Memory verse: Proverbs 18:20, “A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.”

It is comforting to realize that what I need to change the outcome of my life is not beyond me. Neither is it up to God to decide if I succeed or fail. It is as simple as paying attention to what my mouth is speaking. To control my mouth, I have to control my thoughts by watching what I am feeding it with. Although simple, it requires discipline and sacrifice, unfortunately, most humans are unwilling to pay the price. It is easy to believe that 30 minutes daily in the word will transform your life. The problem is what you do with the rest of your time. The hours spent on social media and in front of the television can neutralize the positive impact of the word in your life.

I want to encourage you to take this seriously, because it is worth the effort in your health, finances, relationships and every area of life. Decide to change what you input in to your mind and your talk will change naturally.
