Our deliverance and salvation is tied to our mouths. What we say constantly is critical to our destiny. I have been observing people both young and old, it never ceases to amaze me how quickly people say negative things. However, when you ask them to join in confessing scripture, they become tongue tied. The reason is that there is great power in what you say. Many self-help gurus will tell you that if you say something long enough even if it is a lie, you will eventually start to believe it.
Recently, I was trying to get a very young child to confess the word of God over his life. I asked him to say the name of Jesus, but he kept saying he couldn’t. At a tender age of six, he has come to believe that Satan can stop him from speaking the name of Jesus. This clearly shows that there is power in the name and word of God. We all need to watch what we are saying because the negative comes easily to us. Keep quiet if you can’t say anything positive or in line with the Word. The words we say are weapons used for or against us in the spirit realm.
